For over half a century, Talbot Arm motel, store, gas station, RV park and service station have provided travellers a friendly stop along the Alaska Highway. Located on the shores of beautiful Kluane Lake, Talbot Arm is a perfect stop-over whether you are heading to Alaska, Dawson City, or planning to drive along the famous Dempster Highway.
Conveniently located midway between the Alaska communities of Haines and Tok, Talbot Arm is a natural stop to explore scenic Kluane Lake and Kluane National Park, and the nearby lakeshore community of Burwash Landing with its interesting Kluane Museum.
Located approximately midway on the western shore of of the spectacular Kluane Lake, Destruction Bay serves as an ideal base to explore this corner of Yukon that visitors often pass by. You can walk miles along the tranquil lakes shore without seeing another soul or you can drop a fishing line and try your luck at catching a lake trout or one of the other cold water species. These frigid waters make for the most delicious fish, and catching it yourself in these spectacular surroundings makes it even more amazing!
While we are steps away from this beautiful turquoise lake, we also sit next to to Kluane National Park and Reserve where wildlife is abundant and it is not unusual to see grizzly bears!
